1. Yes, it is ETHICAL to raze Detroit.
2. It will Aesthetically benefit the city in future.
3. Yes it is a Practical solution to the urban ruins.

I read "Razing houses to curb crime: Detroit demolition plan targets ugly behavior, not ugly homes" article.

It is ethical to raise detroit because detroit really needs it. it will be aetheticall because detroit is full of things that dont really look good like burned homes and abondoned buildings. it is a practical solution because it maybe the only solution because the land can be used for agriculuture.

1. I don't believe that razing Detroit is ethical
2. I really think it will make the city look worse than it is, so it will not benefit the city to me.
3. I don't think it practical either, all of the money that is put in tearing the homes down could be used for something more beneficial.

1. I believe that it is ethical to raze Detroit. If no one else is using these houses, there is no reason to have them up. According to the Razing The City To Save The City article, people are fleeing away from the city and there are more and more forclosures in Detroit. These homes are just going to sit there and rot if no one else buys them.
2. it would aesthetically benefit the city. no one wants to see house falling apart at the seams. if a building can be torn down and used for urban farming or a park than that would benefit the city in more than one way.
3. it is a practical solution. instead of a house being used for bad things, you can tear them down and build something that can benefit the city.

1. No, it is not ethical to raze Detroit even if the city has worsened it would not be ethical to do this.
2. Sure it might aesthetically benefit the city, but it actually would take away from this idea of a city. Detroit is what it is.
3.No, it's not a practical solution what about all the families that are still in the ruins of Detroit, why not just build from what there is now!

It is ethical to raze Detroit because it needs it. It will Aesthetically benefit the city because there is nothing at this time. It is not practical.

Jeremy Radke said

Razing Detroit is ethical because of how badly the city has been suffering for years. The streets are filled with homeless people and drug addicts. The neighborhoods are filled with abandoned homes and ashes from the burned down homes. The city needs to be refurbished completley. There is no reason for it to stay as it is now.

It is not ethical to raze detroit. It will not benefit the city. It is not a practical solution to the urban ruins.

I think that although there will be many hard feelings it is ethical to raze the city of Detroit. Whether or not it is a practical solution has yet to be determined, but it seems like it will be to me personally, and it will certainly benefit the city aesthetically. I could use the article from the New York Times in my evaluation paper.http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/21/us/21detroit.html

1) yes I think its ethical to lowering the crime rate in Urban areas
2) Aestheically urban ares would have a better look and more of a comfort feeling rather than feeling unsafe
3) yes the it would be practical would help give detroit Jobs to the people and also benefit the city in general

I believe it is unethical to raze detroit, as it will destroy many of the most historic sites inside the city of detroit. It could aesthetically benefit the city however that idea is quite subjective as some would believe a new modern city would be aesthetically beautiful others believe that the history city today is aesthetically pleasing. It is not a practical solution to the urban ruins because it is demolishing many old resources that could be reused. Detroit in it's current situation is not well of financially doing so would just destroy more of the city's infrastructure.
