The image shows a bag with a gun on it. The audience for this ad would be people who live in Detroit, the ad is expressing that fact that in order to walk around Detroit you will have to carry a gun. One of the ads I looked at uses ethos and pathos to express the roles of women and men before the 1920's.

What this image is selling is that Detroit is a sketchy place, that one living there should carry safety with them or as shown a pistol. The audience is people living in Detroit, people who spend time in this area. One of the ads I found was a Clorox ad from World War II, with a women on the ad flexing and the slogan "Get The Power" the strategies it uses are ethos and pathos.

The Image is Selling how you must carry a gun while in Detroit. Also the imagine signifys As if You always need to carry protection, compared to as always carring your bag or property. The ad is targeting everyone in general, but in my perspection I feel its targeting more towards women.
The Trojan condom ad I found is saying you get what you want and need; "Pleasure and Protection".

The image is selling handguns, and it's audience is for anyone in Detroit. The ad is implying that it is dangerous in Detroit and you should carry guns.

In the ads that I looked at home, was the Geico commercial of the pig going down the zip line, so it uses pathos and logical.

This image is selling the idea that in Detroit crying a handgun is necessary, even while shopping. The audience for this add is the general public most likely those walking around in a mall who are likely to see another individual holding this unique shopping bag. One rhetorical strategy being used is ethos because in a very real sense a person holding a gun has some sort of power over another person, even though it may be abused. The idea in itself is also a logical fallacy because in many parts of Detroit crying a gun is not necessary, and seeing that we go to school in Detroit is testimony to that idea.

Scott Anteau said

The picture of the gun is just trying to sell the brand "Made in Detroit" and it is trying to show that the city of Detroit is tough. My ad's used both ethos and pathos to appeal to the consumer.
